Hello Cyprus ?
With a kickstart to 2020, we launched our 20th country in the Mediterranean island of Cyprus!
Wolt has finally arrived to paint the city of Nicosia blue and with more cities to come, our Cypriot team are just warming up with bringing local favourites to our hungry customers. So Cyprus, watch this space!
With the theme of celebrating milestones, we recently welcomed Andreas Papagiannis (our first Cypriot Restaurant Partnership Manager) to Wolt and asked him to share a few words about Wolt life in Cyprus.
My name is Andreas Papagiannis, I am 32 years old and living in Nicosia, Cyprus. I am married and we have a 14-month old son as well as a new member of the family on the way. I have been working in the food and beverage sales sector for the last 5 years.
I joined Wolt 2 months ago and with everything I’ve seen and learnt, I am truly impressed with everything that we do at Wolt. When I found out Wolt was coming to Cyprus, I immediately knew it would change the food delivery scene around here. So, when I received the offer to join the team, I was thrilled and was already looking forward to achieving many great things. I was excited to be part of something new in Cyprus, part of an amazing global company, part of a great team and also part of bringing a service to our local market.
So what is it like being the first Restaurant Partnership Manager for a new country?
Two words: exciting and challenging, that’s for sure! Being a Restaurant Partnership Manager at Wolt means being a good mix of efficient and strategic. It’s more than your typical sales role and requires someone who isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves and get their hands dirty. Especially being the first person in the country, I’ve learnt to be in a truly dynamic role where I am managing multiple tasks within sales, operations, customer relationships, support, back office and the list goes on. But that’s not even the best part. The best part is having a great team around me throughout the hustle and bustle where I know that everything is going to be okay.
It’s also knowing that I am part of a greater, bigger team across Wolt and part of a huge family where people are willing to go the extra mile to get things done and make miracles – whether it’s big or small. The support of the people and the environment is what makes the difference in being a Partnership Manager at Wolt.
So, if you or someone you know is considering a role at Wolt, I’ll ask you this – “You still have not applied to join Wolt???” Join our team and it will be one of the best decisions you will make in your career. Looking forward to having you on board!
Love food. Love Nicosia.
